FOR THE
FUTURE.

OUR MISSION
Steady Hope was founded with the mission to create a safe space for people to share their unique stories and backgrounds.
It is our desire that counseling clients can learn to be present in their daily lives and persevere with hope toward a future. With each session, we value collaborative approaches to our therapeutic work and encourage professional excellence.
HOPE
Hope is not wishful thinking
Hope is the audacity to believe that after everything you have been through, there is more ahead of you. It’s the courage to trust that as long as you’re still breathing, you have not missed out on what was meant for you.

Hope is not an emotion; it's a way of thinking
Hope is a function of struggle. If we want to cultivate hopefulness, we have to be willing to be flexible and demonstrate perseverance. Not every goal will look and feel the same. Tolerance for disappointment, determination, and a belief in self are the heart of hope.

HOW WE CAN HELP
We understand that the first call to therapy is often a big deal. Many of us put off the first call for a long time and find every excuse to not “need” therapy. We believe that all of us can benefit from a safe place to share our stories. We believe that life is one big story–in every good story, there is a protagonist and often some kind of twist that hooks us in to keep reading.
Sometimes when that twist comes in our real lives, having a safe place where nobody needs us is just what we need. One of our core desires as humans is to feel known. Therapy is one of those places where you can feel like someone gets you, someone knows the joys, and someone knows the things that we don’t often share at dinner gatherings.
We believe that hope is a combination of setting goals, having the tenacity and perseverance to pursue them (even if we have to identify alternate routes to get there), and believing in our own abilities. Hope is learned! Our hope is that in therapy, our clients feel safe enough to be their true selves. Safe enough to actually get to know their true selves better.

We really do believe that it is an honor to be invited into our clients' stories.
Our team specializes in working with teens, young adults, and adults. We work with clients hoping to process life transitions, relationship difficulties, anxiety, grief, trauma, spirituality, women’s issues, and postpartum.
We provide services local to Decatur and Atlanta, Ga., and virtually across the states of Georgia.
