Phylicia is passionate about working with adolescents, teens, and young adults. She has a strong interest in trauma recovery and is especially drawn to helping individuals regulate their nervous system and shift from survival mode—such as fight, flight, or freeze—into a place of calm, safety, and connection. Her desire is to help clients feel at home in their bodies, reconnect with the present moment, and experience life more fully. Phylicia values mind-body integration and welcomes the opportunity to incorporate faith-based approaches into the healing process when appropriate for the client.

Phylicia works from a trauma-informed, person-centered lens. Her approach is influenced by cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and neuropsychology. She believes that while our past experiences shape the way we see ourselves and the world, healing is possible—and with the right tools and support, clients can rewrite those patterns and walk in
freedom. Clients can expect a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental space where they are seen, heard, and supported. Phylicia brings compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for each client’s story.
She is committed to walking alongside clients as they explore their experiences, uncover unhelpful patterns, and work toward meaningful growth and transformation.
Phylicia’s work is grounded in faith, empathy, integrity, intentionality, compassion, and resilience. She believes deeply in the human capacity for change and seeks to live a life that reflects hope, joy, and love. When she’s not studying or seeing clients, Phylicia enjoys working
out, spending time with family and friends, cooking, baking, and exploring Atlanta. She also
loves tapping into her creativity and finding new ways to bring joy and balance into her life.
Phylicia brings a rich professional background in healthcare and quality improvement, a passion
for trauma-informed care, and a heart for underserved populations. She is excited to integrate her systems-thinking perspective to support clinical excellence and explore ways to track and enhance client progress. With a long-term vision of specializing in trauma, EMDR, and
neuropsychology, Phylicia hopes to contribute to client care, team development, and faith-integrated mental health initiatives. She is especially passionate about making therapy accessible and empowering for clients from diverse backgrounds.
When she isnot studying or doing homework, she enjoys working out, exploring the Atlanta area, spending time with family and friends, cooking, baking, and exploring her newfound creativity.
Phylicia will begin seeing clients starting May 12, 2025.
